Myles Manlapaz (he/him) is an associate at Wood & Nathanson, LLP. He represents clients in post-conviction and appellate proceedings following criminal convictions in Massachusetts District Courts.
Myles graduated with honors from New England Law | Boston. During law school, he interned with justices at the Boston Municipal Court, Massachusetts Appeals Court, and Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. In addition, he interned in the Civil Litigation Division of the United States Attorney’s Office, working on civil actions brought against the United States.
After law school, Myles served as a law clerk to Justice Joseph M. Ditkoff at the Massachusetts Appeals Court. During his clerkship, he worked on ninety-six pending appellate matters, including direct and collateral appeals from criminal convictions, interlocutory appeals, and civil cases against state agencies, state actors, and municipalities. Myles directly assisted in the resolution of numerous cases with wide-reaching implications for criminal law and procedure. In his years aiding the judiciary, Myles showed a steadfast commitment to equal justice under the law.
Myles draws upon his first-hand experience working with numerous trial and appellate justices to provide informed, creative, and compelling representation. Myles’ passion for written and oral advocacy stems from his background in writing and editing. Over the past ten years, Myles has worked as a freelance scholastic editor, an associate at an academic publisher, and the Senior Executive Editor of the New England Law Review.
