Danya Fullerton is a senior associate at Wood & Nathanson, with a focus on criminal appellate advocacy. After law school, she worked as an associate at a prominent Boston criminal defense firm assisting in the representation of clients charged with matters ranging from assault and battery and operating under the influence to high-profile cases such as James “Whitey” Bulger and Tarek Mehanna. Danya also assisted in drafting the briefs in Commonwealth v. White, in which the Supreme Judicial Court affirmed the suppression of evidence retrieved from a cellular phone and issued important guidance on the circumstances under which police may search a cell phone. Danya then formed her own practice representing clients in appellate proceedings and assisting other attorneys with drafting appellate briefs, motions for new trial, motions to vacate pleas, and trial-level pleadings in state and federal matters.
Danya is a cum laude graduate of Boston University School of Law, where she was a Note Editor on the American Journal of Law & Medicine. During law school, she had internships at the U.S. Department of the Interior and at the New Hampshire Office of the Attorney General. Danya graduated magna cum laude from Clark University in Worcester, where she received the Outstanding Undergraduate in Psychology Award.
